On February 28th 2002, James Brown, a partner of Freedom Sales &
Marketing was struck nearly head-on by a girl who lost control of her
vehicle when coming onto a two-lane bridge. James managed to avoid
a direct head-on, but with guardrails on both sides, he had no way of
completely avoiding a collision. James, who was wearing his seatbelt
and was in a vehicle equipped with an airbag, walked away from the accident
with no significant injuries. The girl in the other vehicle, who was
not wearing her seatbelt, was not so fortunate. She suffered serious
injuries and faces a long recovery. In a sense, she is also fortunate,
since she was not ejected when her car rolled 1-1/2 times following the
initial collision with James. James is convinced that his seatbelt
and airbag kept him from receiving much more serious injuries, even though
his new Mercedes SL500 was totaled. The following pictures, taken
less than 24 hours after the wreck say it all.
